What are Discovery Flights?
A discovery flight is a short, introductory flight experience with a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), designed to give individuals a first-hand look at what it's like to fly. It's an opportunity to explore basic aircraft maneuvers, learn about the cockpit, and get a feel for flying, helping someone decide if they want to pursue flight training. These flights are typically 30-60 minutes long and include a briefing, pre-flight inspection, and the chance to take the controls under the guidance of an instructor.

This syllabus is based heavily on the AOPA Companion Copilot Syllabus and the AOPA Private Pilot Syllabus.
